AR Foundation works with women, school children, fishermen, and disadvantaged families in Kinniya and the Eastern Province — delivering real change through education, livelihood support, and community care.
AR Foundation is a community-driven non-governmental organisation based in Kinniya, Trincomalee. Established with one clear purpose — to uplift the most vulnerable members of our community through targeted, dignified, and sustainable support.
Our work spans women's empowerment, children's education, fishermen's livelihood support, and emergency relief — always guided by the values of compassion, transparency, and long-term impact.
Every programme is shaped by the voices of the people we serve.
We focus on long-term solutions, not one-time handouts.
Our operations and finances are open to scrutiny by donors and partners.
We address the most pressing needs in Kinniya and surrounding villages through targeted, evidence-based programmes.
Skills training, microfinance access, and awareness programmes enabling women to achieve financial independence and social confidence.
Tutoring support, school supply distribution, scholarship assistance, and mentorship for children from low-income families.
Equipment grants, safety training, market linkages, and cooperative development to strengthen fishing community livelihoods.
Rapid food, shelter, and essential item distribution during floods, droughts, and crises affecting our coastal communities.
Supporting smallholder farmers and vulnerable households with seeds, tools, and knowledge to achieve consistent food access.
Ongoing work on the ground in Kinniya and the Eastern Province.
A six-month vocational training initiative covering tailoring, food production, and handcraft skills. Participants receive a starter kit and are connected to local market networks upon completion.
Free tutoring sessions for O/L and A/L students, staffed by trained volunteer teachers. Centres operate in three village locations every weekday evening.
Subsidised nets, outboard motor repairs, and life jacket distribution for registered fishing families. Includes sea safety awareness workshops.
Annual distribution of food packages to low-income families during the holy month of Ramadan, reaching over 300 households across Kinniya and neighbouring villages.
Whether you give, volunteer, or partner with us — every contribution changes a life in Kinniya.
Your financial contribution directly funds our programmes. Every rupee reaches the people who need it most.
